Dear Colleagues,

The Editorial team responsible for the organization of a Special Issue on  “Antarctic South American Interactions in the Marine Environment (ASAI)” to the journal Oecologia Australis would like to invite you to submitted an article on this theme.

This Special Issue will accept reviews, case studies, theoretical studies, original manuscripts, and short notes. This could include empirical studies documenting the physical environment, ecology, physiology, biodiversity and biogeographic patterns, historical and evolutionary biogeography, statistical methodologies for studying broad-scale patterns of biodiversity, and potential anthropogenic impacts.

If you intend to submit a paper please provide the information above by 15 April, 2010:

Potential titles, authors names, and if possible, a preliminary abstract. These should be sent to the following address: oecologia@biologia.ufrj.br copied to luciascampos@gmail.com and manu.bassoi@gmail.com. 

The deadline for the complete manuscript submission will be by 30 August, 2010. It is our intention to have the Special issue ready to publish in the journal website in January, 2011.

Please, we would kindly request everyone to prepare their material according to the Oecologia Australis Authors’ guidelines attached to this message and available in the link http://www.oecologiaaustralis.org/ojs/index.php/oa/about/submissions#authorGuidelines.

To this issue all papers must be submitted in English.
